Sponsor a British para athlete
Para equestrian sport runs on partnerships. Be part of the team that puts a British athlete in the arena.
Why partner with Amanda
Amanda’s story stays with people: an athlete told she had an incurable movement disorder who went on to ride for her country, then took up a second sport and finished 9th at her first World Championships.
Elite para sport is expensive. Horses, coaching, specialist equipment, entries and international travel all add up, and para athletes have far fewer funding routes than able-bodied riders. Supporters make the difference between staying home and taking the start line.
In return, your business gets a genuine, values-led story: resilience, inclusion and British sport at the highest level.

The 2027 plan
In 2027 Amanda is going for selection in both of her sports: the para dressage European Championships in Denmark and the FEI Para Driving World Championships in Poland.
Two international campaigns in one season take considerable funding. Every qualifier means horses, entries, travel, coaching and a support team, and both campaigns need the right horse. Sponsors and supporters make it possible.
Back to Doha, Qatar, where she finished 2nd with Remi II in 2019.
At least three international para dressage events and three driving selection events, plus national qualifiers in both sports.
Para dressage: the European Championships, Denmark, August.
Para driving: the FEI Para Driving World Championships, Poland, September (to be confirmed).
The 2027 calendar
| Month | Para dressage | Para driving |
|---|---|---|
| Feb | Doha international, Qatar | |
| Mar | Hartpury international | Exloo international, Netherlands |
| Apr | Kronenberg (Netherlands) or Sélestat (France) international | |
| May | Hickstead international | Ashfields national (para class) |
| Jun | Wellington international | Chepstow international; Sandringham selection event |

| Aug | European Championships, Denmark | |
| Sep | World Championships, Poland (to be confirmed) | |
| Oct–Dec | Indoor season: qualifying for the para dressage winter championships | Indoor season: qualifying for the indoor finals |
Provisional, and depends on funding, horse power and selection. Amanda needs at least three international para dressage events plus national qualifiers, and at least three driving selection events plus national competitions.

What supporters get
Every partnership is built around what you want to achieve. Here is where most of them start.

At World and European Championships Amanda rides in GB team kit, so arena branding is limited and training kit is governed by the British team.
- Your own supporter pageA dedicated page on amandashirtcliffe.co.uk with a write-up of your business, photos and links, plus a place in the supporter listings across the site.
- Content and socialBehind-the-scenes posts, competition updates and supporter shout-outs across Facebook and Instagram, with content you can use in your own marketing.
- Talks and appearancesAmanda speaks on resilience, disability and elite sport for staff events, customer days, schools and clubs.
- Products, put to workHonest, real-world testing and endorsement of equestrian, mobility, health and wellbeing products.

Do I need to be a big company to sponsor Amanda?
No. Amanda’s supporters range from local Milton Keynes businesses to national brands. The Supporter level is open to everyone, and it can be product, in-kind help or a one-off contribution.
Can I sponsor a single event or one piece of kit?
Yes. You can fund one thing, such as a competition entry (£250), a UK international (£2,500), an international abroad (£5,000), or an item from where the money goes, like the carriage or the harness.
Where will my logo appear?
On rugs, saddle pads, clothing and the horsebox, and on your own page on this site. At FEI internationals logos can go on competition clothing, rugs and kit, within FEI size rules. At World and European Championships Amanda rides in GB team kit, so arena branding there is limited.
Who pays for branded kit?
Branded kit is supplied or paid for by the supporter. If you’d rather keep it simple, a Velcro logo patch can go on Amanda’s existing rugs and kit.
Can I support with products or services instead of money?
Yes, and many of Amanda’s supporters do. Feed, transport, kit, health and fitness, professional services and time all help. Amanda gives honest, real-world feedback on the products she uses.
How long does a sponsorship last?
It’s up to you. Support can be a one-off, a single event or a full season, and packages can be spread across the year. The Headline partner gets first refusal on future seasons.
I’m not a business. Can I still help?
Yes. You can pay for something specific from Amanda’s wish list, from a groom for the day to a competition entry, securely through PayPal.
